This study investigated what preschool teachers intended to how they instructed children and created an educational environment in the process of performance day, that is “Seikatsu-Happyoukai”. This study also examined whether children’s activity in this process resulted in “qualities and abilities desired to be cultivated through kindergarten education”. Three preschool teachers participated semi-structured interview.We found that teachers instructed through play encouraging children’s autonomous activities, that they provided instruction appropriate for the characteristics of each child, and that they instructed children “to do with everyone”. We also found that teachers had the intention of connecting performance day to children’s daily life and the play at kindergarten so far. Through these instructions, “foundations of knowledge and skills”, “foundations of thinking ability, judgment ability, or expression ability”, “motivation to learn”, these are “qualities and abilities desired to be cultivated through kindergarten education”, appeared in children’s activity. |
