Popis: Meikaku Kusakabe (日下部鳴鶴,1838~1922) advocated "the Six Dynasties calligraphy" by influence of Yang Shoujing (楊守敬,1839-1915), and built a new calligraphy style in Meiji period. His disciple Kyôzan Yamamoto (山本竟山,1863~1934) received a stimulus in Meikaku's movement, and decided to migrate to China aiming at learning of calligraphy directly by his introduction. In this paper, I will investigate the master-apprentice relationship and literati network between Meikaku and Kyôzan on letters.
