1. The exploration for cereals and legumes was conducted around almost of all the areas in Pakistan except Sind Province from Oct. 10 to Nov. 28 in 1989 (Fig. 1). It was funded by IBPGR. 2. The members of the mission were composed of three Japanese scientists of the National Institute of Agrobiological Resources in MAFF and four Pakistan scientists of Pakistan National Agricultural Research Centre. 3. We collected a total of 705 accessions (Table 2), in which rice, pearl millet, sorghum, maize, foxtail millet and wheat are main collections. 4. The passport data of the collected materials are summarized in Table 3. |
