The clothes of the shaman of the Inner Mongolia Horqin Area

Popis: In recent years,the dress of the Buo (Shaman) of Horqin Area,are basically consists of Oran Hormei (red apron) and Alag Deel (spotted clothes like ties,skirts).When performing rituaI ceremonies and rituals of medical treatment, thereis an order to wear the clothes. This costume includes a symbolic significance, that deemed to be the guardian spirit possessed by the Buo, but in the real world, Buo costumes become the identity showing the status of them. In this paper, taking up the clothes of the Buo of Horqin Area for discussion, and noting the similarities among the clothes of the Mongolian Buos in other Areas and that of the Shamans of Northen Ethnic Groups, and the influence of Buddhism, it is explained how the new comers Buos, in recent years, have been securing the Buo clothes.
