Popis: | The surface potential depends on the plasma environment, the sunshine condition, the constituent material and so on. Therefore non-earthed surface materials on the satellite have the different potential from the satellite ground. As the differential potential builds up between two points, an arc may occur. The discharge is well known as causing the failure to the satellite power system, for instance, it is reported that the discharge sometimes causes loss of the power generation. So we should investigate the influence of the discharge on the orbit. When the charge with the high potential by the discharge is inputted to the power line or ground line, the transient voltage is applied to the base-emitter of the shunt transistor. This 'transient voltage' sometimes exceeds the level of the maximum rating voltage and breaks down the shunt transistor. We found that the breeder resistance and conductive adhesive were effective as a way of preventing this failure.
