Popis:	After the Triple Intervention in 1895, Japan realized that it's necessary to cooperate with China in facing the menace of the western power. Partly because of the Japan's wish to alliance with China, and the China's need to reform, the boom of sending students to Japan started. Chinese students in Japan also became the subject to be reported in the newspapers. In this paper, we focus on one of the most popular Japanese newspaper, "Asahi Shinbun", viewing the reports on the Chinese students in Japan. With close review, we would like to discuss the meaning and the effect of studying in Japan in the modern Chinese history. 内田慶市教授古稀記念号
