We supported local elementary schools to improve their science education though developing instruments for scientific experiments, training for the school teachers, and teaching at students' science club activity. What we newly developed for the use in science class were an experimental heating instrument using the electric heating wire and an L-shaped conduct to observe three different forms of water. We conducted a brief training for teachers in charge of science experiments as we provided these instruments. In the science club, we gave classes with a new theme, “making a swinging wave machine" to visualize properties of the wave. In the workshop, our students proactively guided elementary students in their crafting. |
