Popis: | 研究ノート Research notes This report is an initiative of the practical research class “Vocabulary & Kanji”. In recent years, many students have become attracted to Japanese culture and decided to study abroad in Japan. Many international students are interested in Japanese subcultures such as Anime, Manga and Cosplay, they are also interested in traditional cultural properties such as tea ceremonies and calligraphy, and other cultural properties such as Japanese architecture. Calligraphy is one of the only artforms in the world with a focus on Chinese characters. Therefore, for example, if you create a work with a kanji motif, I would like you to understand the meaning of the kanji itself and sublimate it into a deeper modelling work. With this in mind, I tried to develop a lesson that would serve as a bridge to the ‘Japanese Culture – Calligraphy’ lesson, via the “Intermediate and Advanced Kanji & Vocabulary” course, which is a practical training course for the international students at the university I am involved with. The origin of the Kanji was explained in the same way as “Setsumonkaizi”, and the details of the elements of the kanji were observed by using a brush pen. The results of this class show that it is not sufficient to lead into the “Japanese Culture – Calligraphy” class. However, the students understood how to compose kanji. One of the international students has continued to take online lessons in “Japanese Culture – Calligraphy”, even after returning from Japan. |
