Popis: Triphenylpyrylium tetrafluoroborate-sensitized electron transfer photo-oxygenation was found to be an effective method for the transformation of spiroindan-substituted cyclopropanes to the corresponding 1,2-dioxolanes. In vitro evaluation of the 1,2-dioxolanes showed high antimalarial activity.
