保育学生の「子どもの健康」の捉え方の変化 ──授業「健康領域指導法」の受講前後の分析──

Popis: Changes in nursery department students' perspectives on "children's health" resulting from a lecture on "Health Educational Methods" were investigated by comparing the results of a survey conducted before, just after, and one month after the lecture. Participants were second-year students enrolled in the nursery-education department of A college in Hiroshima Prefecture, nearly all of whom were studying for the Preschool Teacher Level 2 Regular License and childcare worker's qualifications. The subject Teaching Methods of "Health" in Childcare is a compulsory one during these students' first term of the second year. The survey was conducted with students attending the lecture. The KH Coder 3 was used for analyzing the data. The results indicated that students' general perspectives on children's health before the lecture changed to an understanding of the content of health education teaching methods, including their aims and goals, just after the lecture.They also gained a professional perspective on children's health as childcare workers one month after the lecture. One month after the lecture, however, when students are asked "Give five things you think of when you hear the words "health of children"", only one student responded, "To have children act with prospects by childcare workers' instructions," which is one of the new aims of health education included in the 2017 revision of Education Procedures in Kindergarten. Therefore, it is necessary to emphasize this issue during the lecture further.
