Popis:	The mass spectrum of Hyades cluster is computed from van Altena's observation of low-luminosity members of Hyades cluster and compared with the initial mass spectrum given by von Hoerner. The deficiency of the stars of small mass in the central region of the cluster can be explained by means of the escape of stars from the cluster and the concentration of the massive stars to the central part of the system. The universality of the initial mass spectrum at the birth of stars is discussed.
