Many preschools, kindergartens, certified kindergartens, and elementary schools tend to emphasize the importance of teaching and evaluating expressive techniques in their plastic arts activities. In some cases, the opposite is true, with a laissez-faire approach to instruction. In plastic arts education, it is necessary to “empathize with children's thoughts,” “stimulate the right brain,” and “incorporate rich dialogue to enhance self-esteem (sense of self-existence),” according to children's characteristics and developmental stages. Here, I will introduce workshops of plastic arts activities that incorporate a clinical art approach for children and instructors. |
