A 68-year-old man was adn1itted because of large abdomen and dysuria. A huge mesocolic cyst was found on operation which contained about 15, 000 ml of white-yellowish mucinous solution with fatty substance. This is the largest retroperitoneal cyst in the Japanese literature. The etiology and classifications of retroperitoneal cyst in the literature were added. This case resembles clinically retroperitoneal myxoma but histologically is considered to be of mesocolon origin. |
