Popis: | We made aperture synthesis observations of the 150 GHz continuum emission from the dust around a young star DG Tau, using the Nobeyama Millimeter Array. The spatial extent of the dust has been resolved. The size of the dust distribution (dust disk) is estimated to be 1.8 sec x 0.6 sec (250 AU x 84 AU) with P.A. = 104 deg, which is corrected for the beam pattern and atmospheric seeing. We attained the synthesized beam as small as 1.4 sec x 1.0 sec with P.A. = 111 deg, by using the sparsest AB configuration of the array. The amplitude of the phase fluctuation of the array due to atmospheric turbulence was estimated to be 0.5 sec during our observations. Although the disk radius, 125 AU obtained by this study is larger than the value of 75 AU derived by Adams, Emerson, & Fuller (1990, Ap. J., 357, 606) on the basis of the compact disk model, this study indicates the disk-like feature and favors the disk model. Our results, however, do not agree with an infalling envelope model proposed by Calvet et al. (1994, Ap. J., 434, 330). The total flux density is 170 mJy and the disk mass is estimated to be 0.03 solar mass. It is reasonable to interpret that the 150 GHz continuum emission traces biasedly an inner region (r equal to or less than 100 AU) of the large gas disk with a radius of 2,800 AU previously observed by Kitamura, Kawabe, & Saito (1996, to appear in the January 20 issue of Ap. J.) around DG Tau. 資料番号: AA0063352022 |
