Infrared Absorption Spectra of Molecular Complexes of Pyridine. Part IV : Molecular Complexes with Zn-, Cd-, and Hg-Halides

Popis: When zinc halides were dissolved in pyridine, new bands in infrared spectra of pyridine were observed at 637, 1015, 1044 and 1540 cm^, which were assigned to ν_, ν_1, ν_, andν_ of pyridine vibrations. In the case of mercury, only one band appeared at 1007 cm^ newly and was assigned toν_1 of pyridine vibration. Solid spectra of zinc, cadmium and mercury halide complexes with pyridine were assigned by comparing with pure liquid pyridine spectrum.
