| Popis: | The purpose of this article is to present detailed information about the recent trends and current working condition of home-care givers（live-in caretakers）in Taiwan who come from Southeast Asia, and discuss the government's policy on them at a turning point. The government strictly controls the entry of "low quality" labor, but in the same manner, the policy allows high- skilled labor to move freely in and out of Taiwan. The article explores the possible impact for foreign home-care givers' employment in terms of the Long-Term Care Insurance Law, to which enforcement is scheduled in 2017. Based on the consideration mentioned above, the author tries to foretell decrease in demand for foreign home-care workers, and demand for the foreign care workers of outreach type who have middle skill level is expanding by the government's policy. 原著論文 |
