Popis: | There are several linear and non-linear methods known for the solution of direct and indirect aerofoil and cascade problems of potential flow. The recently developed Surface Vorticity Distribution (SVD) theory originally due to E. Martensen and further developed for aerofoils and cascades by E. Wilkinson has been shown to have potential for extension to the analysis of flow over axisymmetric bodies and bodies of revolution. This paper briefly reviews earlier works on the analysis flow over bodies and describes the development of SVD method for the cases of two-dimensional isolated aerofoils, cascades, annular aerofoils, bodies of revolution and interacting bodies. Computer programs based on this method were developed. Sample results obtained from these programs are also presented and discussed. |
