| Popis: | Failure of a bag filter from a carbon black manufacturing company was examined. The analysis showed that the bag filter had suffered dew point corrosion failure. The presence of chloride induced transgranular stress corrosion cracking of the bag filter. Taking into consideration the operating conditions of the bag filter, recommendations were made to minimize the recurrence of such failures. |
