A method and device for the application of a vaporous mist to rectangular nozzles (2) and spinning systems fitted therewith for the production of polyamide filaments. The vapor is supplied via a coiled pipe (9) which is guided through the heating chamber of a spin-die manifold (1) and the vapor is heated to spinning temperature. Vapor outlet strips (11) are placed lengthwise, directly underneath the spin-die manifold (1). i.e. on the lower edge of the group of rectangular nozzles (2) between the spin-die manifold (1) and the after-heater (4). Said vapor outlet strips (11) are fitted with a simple labyrinth for homogenization of pressure. Initially, vapor enters in the middle of the group of rectangular nozzles and passes along the group of rectangular nozzles into a relatively wide distribution chamber which is open at the top. The vertical distribution chamber leads to a horizontal and very narrow dividing chamber which flows openly into the spinning chamber. The vapor then exits in the direction of the nozzles across a plurality of filaments. A vaporous mist is applied to the rear sides of the group of rectangular nozzles. |
