| Popis: | From the presence of a “gaucho rocker” on a children's television program, we propose to discuss theoretical and methodological possibilities of the Performance Studies in the analysis of television products. The notions of screenplay and performance frame (Taylor, 2013) are subsidies to treat the encounter between the band Os Cascavelletes and the presenter Angelica in the Clube da Crianca show in TV Manchete, as the performance towards the strangeness of the figure of the young, urban and gaucho rocker, in Brazil’s media context of the 1980s. Carnivalization and fantasy integrate guiding principles of the theatricality of this meeting that was marked in the memory of members of the rock music scene of Porto Alegre. |
