Popis: | A series of 986 cases of peptic ulcer perforation during 1958–1972 admitted to Sassoon Hospitals in Poona has been studied. The meteorological factors and their relationship to the incidence of cases were determined. It has been shown by correlation studies that water vapour pressure plays a dominant role in the incidence of perforated peptic ulcer. Combinations of high vapour pressure with small range of diurnal temperature or diurnal vapour pressure are associated with an increase in the incidence of peptic ulcer perforations. |
