Popis: | Two new proton transfer compounds, (H2a3mp)+(psba)− (1) and (H2a3mp)+(2MeO5sba)− (2), obtained from 2-amino-3-methylpyridine with (2a3mp) and p-sulfamoylbenzoic acid (Hpsba) or 2-methoxy-5-sulfamoylbenzoic acid (H2MeO5sba), respectively, and Cu(II) complexes of Hpsba (3), of H2MeO5sba (4), of 1 (5) and of 2 (6) were synthesized and characterized by FT-IR, UV, 1H-NMR, elemental, AAS, magnetic measurement and molar conductivity. Furthermore, free compounds, 2a3mp, Hpsba, 2MeO5sba and Cu(CH3COO)2·H2O, Cu(II) complex of 2a3mp (Cu2a3mp) and compounds (1–6) have been screened for their antifungal and antibacterial activities against Candida parapisilosis (ATCC 22019), Candida krusei (ATCC 6258) (yeast) and Enterococcus faecalis (ATCC 29212) Escherichia coli (ATCC 25922) (Gram negative), Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 29213) (Gram positive). The results are touched with standard antifungal agent (Fluconazole) and antibacterial agents (Cefepime, Vancomycin and Levofloxacin). © 2021, Iranian Chemical Society. |
