| Popis: | The acute abdomen in the pediatric populations varies from adults, not only in the cause of the symptoms, but also in the imaging work up. The most frequent causes of the acute abdomen in the pediatric population are discussed, ordered approximately by age of symptom onset. The important findings on the preferred imaging modalities are highlighted including an overview on relevant fluoroscopic techniques. This article serves as a concise overview of disease states that are essential for any practicing radiologists to accurately diagnose. |
