Popis: | SummaryThe acetylation of sulphanilamide and the synthesis of fatty acids from 2-14C-acetate in rat liver after 450 r whole-body roentgen irradiation was studied.A depression in the liver's acetylating capacity and fatty acid synthesis was found the third day after irradiation.Cysteamine given before irradiation had no protective effect, but depressed itself the acetylation of sulphanilamide. The iodine number of the fatty acids decreased after irradiation and returned to normal on the seventh day after irradiation. |
