Popis: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) operates the 20 MW research reactor (NBSR) at its Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA site as a national facility. The reactor, which has been in routine operation since 1969, supports a broad range of research and development activities, including the Cold Neutron Research Facility (CNRF). The NIST facilities were described in the first issue of Neutron News (1), so the present report is intended to be an update. For completeness, some of the information given in the earlier report will be repeated here.
