Popis: | Object and purpose of research. This paper discusses additive technologies to estimate application prospects of polymers in gas turbines. Materials and methods. The study was performed on REC plastics and PA-12 polyamides with the main focus on the changes in their physical & mechanical properties during strength experiments, with further comparison of the results. Main results. Polymers as structural materials for turbogenset impellers could increase their internal efficiency at the optimal point by 2.4%, as compared to conventional active turbines. Conclusion. The results of these tests could become the basis for further studies on improvement of gas turbines. Scientific developments of this project will pave way to the upgrade of marine power plants, improving their performance parameters and extending their service life. |
