| Popis: | Experience with forty-eight cases of diffuse colonic polyposis treated by abdominal colectomy with ileoproctostomy is presented. There were 1,000 patientyears of follow-up study, with one operative death and one failure of the procedure, a rectal carcinoma developing four years after colectomy. We therefore conclude that in most patients, abdominal colectomy and ileorectal anastomosis is the operation of choice for diffuse polyposis. |
