Popis:	A case of hypopharyngeal carcinoma is presented which was treated with one-stage hypopharyngeal resection and replacement with a stainless steel funnel surrounded by split-thickness skin graft. The procedure used followed Edgerton's method with some modifications, which were discussed. The healing and results were excellent until there was local recurrence of the tumor.
