Popis: | T HE object of this review can conveniently be divided into three major areas: (1) normal physiology, i.e., the role played by the pericardium in cardiac function in the subject without disease of the heart or pericardium; (2) the contribution of the pericardium to abnormalities of cardiac function when the heart is diseased or working under abnormal loading conditions; and (3) the effects of diseases of the pericardium on cardiac function. |
