Popis: | Summary A report is presented of 27 cases of postabortal and postpartum tetanus seen at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital between 1963 and 1967. Twenty-two of them were associated with abortion and carried a mortality of 50 per cent while one out of 5 postpartum cases died. Uterine tetanus appears to be more severe than other forms and carries a distinctly higher mortality. A reason for this is suggested. |
