Popis: In brief A bicyclist was struck by lightning after he sought shelter under an isolated tree. He suffered spinal cord and peripheral nerve injury, but eventually was able to walk with the aid of a walker. The sports activities that are associated with the highest number of lightning injuries and deaths are water sports, golf, camping, hiking, baseball, and football. Athletes and outdoor recreationists should know how to reduce their risk of injury during a lightning storm.
