Popis: | The purpose of this article is to explore the meaning, and derive an operational definition, of the concept of collective trauma. A search of the databases CINAHL, Ovid MEDLINE, and PsychInfo revealed no concept analysis about collective trauma. Using Rodger's approach, this evolutionary concept analysis clarifies the concept's surrogate and related terms, attributes, antecedents, and consequences, and proposes a derived definition. A clearer conceptualization of collective trauma is crucial for nurses and other health care professionals in their practice, theory and research. |
