Popis: | This report presents the methods and results of psychiatric evaluation in a military psychiatric clinic of preschool children by a multidisciplinary team consisting of a child psychiatrist, a developmental pediatrician, a speech pathologist, an occupational therapist, and a social worker. Five or six children were evaluated in three weekly sessions. A cluster of symptoms concerning behavior problems was most frequently reported by the parents. About 40% of the children had developmental disorders. Most of the children evaluated needed only brief intervention. Seventy-five percent were seen in fewer than 10 sessions and half of the children had improved at the time of closing. |
