| Popis: | Cet article porte sur l’évolution du statut que les anthologies de littérature mondiale reconnaissent à la littérature africaine francophone. Il démontre que jusque dans les années 1960, les anthologies insistaient surtout sur la dimension mondiale de cette littérature. Elles ont ensuite eu tendance à ne lui accorder qu’une place marginale. Cependant, ces dernières années, les anthologies perçoivent, à nouveau, la littérature africaine comme une littérature mondiale. L’article explique que les anthologies ont été informées par la manière dont la littérature africaine a été chargée, d’abord de réhabiliter les Noirs dans leur humanité puis, de légitimer les nations africaines. Les anthologies sont, aujourd’hui, sensibles au fait que la littérature africaine revendique, désormais, sa dimension littéraire et une place au centre du champ littéraire mondial. This article examines the changing status of African francophone literature in world literature anthologies. It shows that until the 1960s, anthologies emphasized the global dimension of this literature. They then tended to give it only a marginal place. However, in recent years, anthologies are once again perceiving African literature as world literature. The article explains that anthologies have been informed by the way in which African literature has been charged, first, with rehabilitating black people in their humanity and, second, with legitimizing African nations. Anthologies are now sensitive to the fact that African literature is now claiming its literary dimension and a place at the center of the global literary field. |
