A molecular size determination of Rh(D) antigen by radiation inactivation

Popis:	Classical radiation target theory has been used to calculate the molecular size of the Rh(D) antigen from radiation inactivation data. Lyophilized red cell membranes were irradiated using high energy electrons at doses between one and tem Mrads. From this data the molecular weight of the Rh(D) antigen in situ was estimated to be 174,000 ± 10,000 daltons. Radiation at these doses had no effect on A antigen activity.
