Popis: | The mathematical coupling of various types of measurement errors to image artifacts in conventional computed tomography geometries is derived. Primarily treated are errors which occur at a fixed radius, simple harmonic error fluctuations, and random errors. The results can be used to establish a quantitative relationship between desired image quality and design tolerances on various components of the computed tomographyscanner. |
