Popis: Sulfolobus islandicus is thermophilic archaea that live in an extreme environment of 75 °C-80 °C and pH 2-3. Currently, the molecular mechanism of archaeal adaptation to high temperatures and the stability of proteins at high temperatures are still unclear. This study utilizes proteomics to analyze the differential expression of S. islandicus proteins at different temperatures. We found that ribosomes, glycolysis, nucleotide metabolism, RNA metabolism, transport system, and sulfur metabolism are all affected by temperature.
