Popis: | Although infection is a rare complication of aortic bypass grafting, we treated a 50-year-old patient who developed aortic graft infection due to Pasteurella haemolytica and group C beta-hemolytic streptococcus. The source of the infection could not be verified; however, after removal of the infected graft and administration of a 6-week course of intravenous ampicillin, he recovered fully. We discuss the etiology and pathogenesis of this rare infection. |
