Popis: | External sodium balance studies were performed on six subjects soon after they suffered a cervical cord injury. They demonstrated a moderate impairment on the part of the renal tubules to conserve sodium. Concurrent tests of glomerular function were normal. A possible relationship between our findings and the interruption of the sympathetic nervous system at the time of the cervical cord injury is discussed. |
