Principal Management in Improving the Quality of Teachers in SD Negeri 1 Banda Aceh

Popis: This study describes the management of school principals in improving the quality of learning at SD Negeri 1 Banda Aceh. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, namely the research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words and the research needed to be observed in real and real life. While data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation as well as data validity. The main source in this research is the principal as the school manager and teacher. Based on the results of the preliminary research, it can be concluded that; 1) Principal management in improving the quality of learning, namely prioritizing the quality of the learning process by implementing the Multiple Intelligent System, carrying out the role of supervision, namely by monitoring, evaluating, and following up on the results of supervision. Principal management in improving the quality of learning, namely prioritizing the quality of learning input by selecting students based on national exam scores, providing facilities that support the learning process, increasing teacher ability, and increasing student ability through reading culture activities. 2) Principal supporting factors are teacher loyalty, inter-school networks, foundation support, and parents' support. Meanwhile, the supporting factors are teacher quality, strategic school location, and infrastructure. Inhibiting factors for the principal are the less strategic location of the school, infrastructure, teachers who are not resident, and limited funds, while the inhibiting factors are limited school size, teacher age, and government policies.
