Popis: to describe a unique complication of macular hole repair surgery using a subretinal human amniotic membrane (hAM) plug.retrospective, interventional case report.A 71-year-old man presented with a chronic full thickness macular hole in his left eye. We performed conventional 23-Gauge pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) with internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling and implantation of a subretinal hAM plug. In the postoperative period, centripetal growth of external retinal layers was observed under the plug. 6 months after surgery, the hAM plug was full integrated into the retina.this is the first reported case of intraretinal integration of a hAM plug following macular hole repair surgery.
