Popis: Mycoplasma hyorhinis is a mycoplasma mainly carried by animals, especially swines, that has not been associated with invasive infections in humans. We describe the first human case of a mycotic infrarenal aortic aneurysm caused by M. hyorhinis, diagnosed with direct 16S rDNA sequencing. Although probably infrequent, it might be the case that this specific micro-organism has been overlooked in the past, especially in culture negative endovascular infections.
