In this paper, we proposed DUS inverseWeibull (DIW) distribution usingthe DUS transformation method. Weprovide comprehensive description of the statistical properties of the subjectdistribution. In addition, a Monte Carlo simulation study is conducted tocompare the efficiencies of the considered estimators for the parameters of theproposed distribution. In order to show the implementation of the proposeddistribution to linear models, distribution of error terms is taken to be DIW in the simple linear regressionmodel. Also, a simulation study is carried out to compare the performances of theestimators of the unknown regression parameters. |
