Popis: Summary A healthy mouth is an important part of overall health and quality of life, and older adults need not resign themselves to the loss of teeth, abnormal taste, loss of chewing efficiency, or loss of aesthetics. Because many older persons do not see a dentist regularly, it's important for health professionals who have frequent contact with elders to provide careful monitoring supported by knowledge of what is normal. This can do much to prolong oral health in older adults. An understanding and appreciation of iatrogenic and drug-related oral complications can help to minimize their occurrence.
