Popis: Coatings Ni-Co-W- Mo have excellent resistance to abrasion and wear, further have good resistance to corrosion in acid and alkaline aqueous media. The thermal spraying technique Oxy-Fuel high speed (Hight Velocity Oxygen-fuel) was used to deposit the coating of the alloy on 304 stainless steel substrates. Such coating was evaluated using electrochemical resistance to linear polarization and curves cyclic polarization in HCl solution, NaOH and distilled water, to compare a function of pH the corrosion resistance and the corrosion mechanism that occurs in this type coatings. The results show that the coating has similar corrosion resistance to the substrate used.
