Popis: | Antibodies to phosphorylcholine, present in the antibody pool of a horse immunized with S. pneumoniae VII, show much higher affinities with species specific pneumococcal C-teichoic acid than with phosphorylcholine, or an unrelated phosphorylcholine-containing antigen. Thus, the polysaccharide in the C-teichoic acid is also capable of binding to the combining area. |
