Popis: | Impurities found in polyethylene and n-hexadecane give rise to intense and narrow single molecule lines at liquid helium temperatures. The fluorescence spectra of several impurity molecules in both matrices are nearly identical, suggesting that a single well-defined compound is involved. This paper summarizes all the photo-physical properties that may help identify the chemical structure of these impurities. |
