M. 1955147.// Lectotype / Myllaena /lewisi/ Cameron, 1933 /des. Maruyama, 2011 [RPC] (abdominal segments VIIX and aedeagus were dissected and mounted by MM). Paralectotype, ♀, JAPAN / Kobe // Mayasan /12.IV.30// Cameron /Bequest./B. M. 1955147.. Distribution. Japan (Honsh: Hygo); China (Zhejiang) Redescription. Body (Fig. 4) small, slender, about 1.52.0 mm, widest at elytra. Color pale yellowish brown, but abdomen slightly darker; pronotum and elytra similarly colored, paler than head; mouthparts, antennae and legs a littler paler than body color. Head subtriangular, more or less produced anteriorly, wider than length, shorter than pronotum and almost as long as shortest length of elytra; eyes medium sized, almost as long as temporal length; antenna yellow, longer than total length from head to pronotum; antennal segments all longer than width; segment I shortest, about half shorter than II, almost 0.55 times shorter than III; XI longest, about 3.5 times longer than I. Pronotum much longer than elytra and wider than head, trapezoid, wider than length, and widest at base; basal width about 1.3 times wider than narrowest width. Elytra wider than length; hindwings not examined. Median lobe of aedeagus (Figs. 1516) with base of apical lobe in dentate in lateral view; flagellum short; basal sclerites separated; apical sclerites separated. Spermatheca (Fig. 17) about 2 times coiled and curved at base. Measurements of lectotype. BL, 2.0; PL, 0.32; PW, 0.44; HTL, 0.25. Comments. This species was originally described from Maya-san, Kbe and the number of the syntypes was not specified in the literature. MM found two syntypes in BMNH and one is designated as lectotype. Pace (1998) described M. chinoculata from Zhejiang, China. The illustrations of the original description are agreed well with those of M. lewisi. Therefore, we consider M. chinoculata is a junior synonym of M. lewisi. A distribution map of examined specimens of this species in Japan is illustrated in Fig. 18.
