Popis: | Although state-based switching is well-studied in the context of model predictive control (MPC), the theory for exogenous switches is less advanced. External switching affects many systems and is of growing importance due to the increasing use of networked control systems where abrupt changes in communication lines induce switched dynamics. In search of practical means to implement MPC for switched systems, this letter examines techniques to ensure their stability. Several existing methods are summarized and a novel approach is suggested to reduce computational costs while unifying the process for both average and minimum dwell time constraints. Two numerical examples contrast current and previous works. |
