| Popis: | In order to determine whether prolactin secretion was affected in diabetic pregnancy, maternal, fetal and amniotic fluid prolactin (PRL) concentrations were measured in gestational non treated diabetic women at parturition. Amniotic fluid PRL levels, though higher than those in maternal and fetal serum, were significantly lower than those of the controls (p less than 0.005); no case of respiratory distress syndrome or congenital malformation was found at birth. |
